To access the Dark Web Scanner, simply tap the "Dark Web" icon located on the main screen.
Now select if you are searching for your email or a password for possible exposure, and enter it into the empty box and tap "Scan" to begin.
When the scan is complete, you will see where your data has been exposed in various data breaches. Tapping on any of the breaches will bring up details. The example below shows the results of searching the test email [email protected].
What to Do If Your Data Is Found
If your email or password is found in a data breach:
- Change your passwords immediately - Update passwords for any accounts that use the exposed credentials
- Enable two-factor authentication - Add an extra layer of security to your important accounts
- Monitor your accounts - Watch for any suspicious activity or unauthorized access
- Use unique passwords - Never reuse the same password across multiple accounts
