Activate Security is available on Windows, macOS, iOS, and Android. Follow the instructions below for your platform.
Windows Installation
- Log in to your account at activatesecurity.com/account
- Click "Download for Windows"
- Run the downloaded installer file (ActivateSecurity-Setup.exe)
- Follow the installation wizard
- Click "Install" and wait for completion
- Launch Activate Security from your desktop or Start menu
- Log in with your account credentials
System Requirements - Windows
- Windows 10 or Windows 11 (64-bit)
- 2 GB RAM minimum (4 GB recommended)
- 500 MB free disk space
- Active internet connection
macOS Installation
- Log in to your account at activatesecurity.com/account
- Click "Download for Mac"
- Open the downloaded DMG file
- Drag Activate Security icon to Applications folder
- Open Applications and launch Activate Security
- If prompted, allow the app in System Preferences → Security & Privacy
- Log in with your account credentials
System Requirements - macOS
- macOS 11 (Big Sur) or newer
- 2 GB RAM minimum (4 GB recommended)
- 500 MB free disk space
- Active internet connection
iOS Installation (iPhone/iPad)
- Open the App Store on your iPhone or iPad
- Search for "Activate Security"
- Tap "Get" then "Install"
- Authenticate with Face ID, Touch ID, or password
- Wait for download to complete
- Tap "Open" or find the app on your home screen
- Log in with your account credentials
System Requirements - iOS
- iOS 14.0 or later
- Compatible with iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch
Android Installation
- Open Google Play Store on your Android device
- Search for "Activate Security"
- Tap "Install"
- Wait for download and installation
- Tap "Open" or find the app in your app drawer
- Log in with your account credentials
System Requirements - Android
- Android 8.0 or higher
- 50 MB free storage space
After Installation
Once installed, we recommend:
- Complete the First-Time Setup Checklist
- Enable VPN protection
- Run your first security scan
- Import browser passwords to the vault
- Configure auto-start (desktop only)

Troubleshooting Installation
Windows - "Windows protected your PC" message
Click "More info" then "Run anyway". This is a standard Windows SmartScreen warning for downloaded applications.
macOS - "App can't be opened" message
Go to System Preferences → Security & Privacy → General, then click "Open Anyway" next to the Activate Security message.
Installation Failed
- Ensure you have administrator privileges
- Disable antivirus temporarily during installation
- Free up disk space if needed
- Download the installer again (file may be corrupted)
