First-Time Setup Checklist

Welcome to Activate Security! Follow this checklist to configure your protection in just 5 minutes.

Step 1: Enable VPN Protection ✓

1. Click "VPN" from the main menu
2. Select "Fastest Server" or choose your location
3. Click "Connect"
4. Enable "Auto-Connect on Startup" for always-on protection

Step 2: Import Browser Passwords ✓

1. Go to "Password Vault"
2. Click "Scan for Login Credentials"
3. Select important accounts to move to vault
4. Set a strong master password

Step 3: Scan for Sensitive Documents ✓

1. Navigate to "Secure Vault"
2. Click "Scan for Sensitive Documents"
3. Review found files
4. Move important documents to encrypted vault

Step 4: Run Dark Web Scan ✓

1. Click "Dark Web Scanner"
2. Enter your email address
3. Check if your credentials were exposed
4. Change passwords for compromised accounts

Step 5: Enable Privacy Protection ✓

1. Enable Tracking Blocker for ad/tracker protection
2. Enable Webcam Protection to prevent spying
3. Enable Anti-Fingerprinting to block browser tracking

Step 6: Configure Auto-Start (Recommended) ✓

1. Go to Settings
2. Enable "Start with Windows/macOS"
3. Enable "Start minimized to system tray"

Recommended Settings

• Auto-updates: Keep enabled for latest protection
• Notifications: Enable for security alerts
• Kill Switch: Enable to prevent data leaks if VPN drops
