How to Enable VPN Protection

Last updated: August 22, 2023

A VPN (Virtual Private Network) encrypts your internet connection and hides your IP address, protecting your privacy and security online. Activate Security includes a built-in VPN that's easy to activate and use.

What is a VPN?

A VPN creates a secure, encrypted tunnel between your device and the internet. It provides:

  • Privacy Protection - Hides your IP address and location
  • Data Encryption - Secures your internet traffic from hackers
  • Bypass Restrictions - Access content from anywhere
  • Safe Public WiFi - Protect yourself on public networks
  • Anonymous Browsing - Browse without being tracked

How to Enable VPN in 60 Seconds

Step 1: Open VPN Settings

  1. Launch Activate Security application
  2. Click on "VPN" or "Secure Browsing" from the main menu
  3. You'll see the VPN dashboard

Step 2: Choose a Server Location

  1. Click "Select Location" or "Server List"
  2. Choose from available countries:
    • Fastest - Automatically selects best performance
    • Nearest - Closest geographic server
    • Specific Country - Choose any available location
  3. For best performance, select "Fastest" or your nearest country

Step 3: Connect to VPN

  1. Click the large "Connect" or power button
  2. Wait 5-10 seconds for connection to establish
  3. You'll see "Connected" status with a green indicator
  4. Your IP address will change to the VPN server's location
You're Protected! Your internet connection is now encrypted and your IP address is hidden. All internet traffic from your device is secure.

Verifying Your VPN Connection

To confirm VPN is working:

  3. Location should show the VPN server's country
  4. Visit whatismyipaddress.com to verify your new IP
